Dehydrated skin in summer: why your skin can feel tight

Warm weather does not automatically mean hydrated skin

Many people think that tight skin is mainly a winter problem. However, we often see dehydrated skin in the summer too. Sun, air conditioning, sweating, and more frequent showering can cause your skin to lose moisture, even if it looks shiny on the outside.

Dehydrated is not the same as dry. Dry skin primarily lacks lipids. Dehydrated skin lacks moisture. As a result, you can be shiny and still feel tight at the same time. Skin logic, but with a small plot twist.

How to recognize dehydration

  • Your skin feels tight after cleansing.
  • Makeup doesn't sit as well.
  • Fine dehydration lines are more noticeable.
  • Your skin looks dull or tired.
  • You're shiny, but still feel tight.

Hydration doesn't have to be heavy. In summer, a lightweight layer often feels more pleasant than a rich cream that feels too heavy.

Puur Diana advice: check out dry and dehydrated skin, serums and boosters, and nourishing creams. The right combination makes your routine more comfortable.

Does your skin still feel tight despite applying products? Then it might be that your basic routine isn't quite right. In that case, less switching and better choices are often the key.
